Have you ever wondered how to get great photographs of you children? Over the past 5 years I’ve worked with hundreds of children. Shy, energetic, sassy, annoyed, fidgety, feisty, awkward smile-y. In this series of blog posts I’m going to share a few tips on photographing your own children and getting great shots every time. This post will focus on getting that natural smile to come out. You are going to be amazed at how simple this tip is. One of those things you don’t even think about but it is a simple adjustment you can make TODAY to get a better photograph of your family. Check these photos out.
Which one are you more likely to smile at? Think about your one year old, does he naturally smile at the camera the way he smiles at you? No way! One way to get a more natural looking smile of your children is to stop looking through the camera and actually look at them. Make eye contact. Smile at your child. They will smile back, as they always do. Try it out and tell me what you think. I’d love to see your photos!
