For Passionate Non-Professional Photographers

So you LOVE photography? You’re always on Pinterest & Facebook checking out the latest & greatest images. Your family finally got the hint that you’d like a new camera for Christmas and at the last minute they came through with a fancy new DSLR. Now what? You head out the door camera in hand and take the most AMAZING pictures. The sun was shining and the kids were smiling, it was a perfect day! You can’t wait to go home and load up the images onto the computer and check them all out. At first glance many of the pictures came out fantastic. But wait… in that one the camera focused on the wrong thing! I wanted to take a picture with the faces in focus not the slide. And why is that huge shadow across everyone’s face? Why did the picture come out so dark? How do I get that look where everything in blurry in the background and just the children are in focus?

These are some of the questions I get during my workshops and private lessons. The new DSLR cameras can be so advanced but if you leave them on automatic you’ll never get those crazy creative images you desire.
