There is always one shot in a session that I just fall in love with.  Usually it is a photo I make into black and white to remove any other distractions.  I find the photos I love the most show a strong connection between two people, catches someone off guard or just looks like good ole fashioned fun.  Every session has that ONE photo.  I never tell my families which one it is- you can always ask if you’re curious.  I wait and see which images they love and secretly hope they fall in love with my favorite photo.

This family of five was SO much fun to photograph!  Fun parents and fun children.  Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect group.   We were dealing with some of the worst conditions for a photo session.  WIND, some clouds some sun, and more WIND.  I mean a little wind is fine but this was gusting to 20MPH.  Beautiful yellow and orange leaves were falling off the trees, along with branches and acorns.  A calm moment would come and then a second later another puff would roll through.  Not fun if your hair is longer than mine and you’re on the spot for a photo session.  Mother Nature must have had my number that day.  Looking back at the photos you’d never know that the conditions were so difficult but trust me, they were!   Next time we’ll have to do an anti-wind dance before we get started.
